Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops SW design architectures and provides scalable technical solutions that satisfy system requirements
  • Develops embedded software components and provides technical solutions according to product specification
  • Provides SW requirements specification in accordance to the defined process description
  • Definition and monitoring of SW metrics
  • Performs embedded SW verification and validation
  • Provides the necessary technical documentation and reporting
  • Contribute in SW-design FMEA
  • Support System TEST engineers for developing automated test equipments for product validation
  • Controls and maintains the necessary tools
  • Releases design and development documents
  • Support verification of prototypes fuctionalities and tests
  • Comply with the Kiekert’s and the customer’s quality policy and quality management system
  • Execute the safety duties of this position
  • Kiekert delegates the necessary duties to prevent health risks, occupational injury, environmental and safety risks to the incumbent in his/her area of responsibility

Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent engineering background with focus on 8-32 bits MCU applications and security systems in the automotive ECU area
  • Excellent knowledge on embedded SW development for automotive ECU with focus on actuator drivers and sensors
  • Familiar with software analysis tools, methods and automotive processes, automotive SPICE, and AUTOSAR and ISO 26262 compliant SW architectures
  • Experience with LIN, CAN, SPI, and I2C applications
  • Experience with UDS, DTC, and bootloader via CAN
  • Experience with Vector tools and standard electronic equipments
  • Ability to work independently as a team member in a multi-cultural team
  • Knowledge related about IATF16949 and ISO14001, ISO45001 and secondary safety standardization
  • Fluent in English
