Kiekert prevails in digitalization: Automotive Brand Contest Winner 2020

Kiekert AG, the technology leader in locking systems in automobiles, was honored with the Automotive Brand Contest Award 2020 as the “winner” in the “digital” category. With the annual award, the German Design Council honors outstanding product and communication design in the automotive industry. Kiekert has prevailed with its NuEntry online platform (, which gives trends, developments and visionary views of future vehicle access. With the award, the jury honored Kiekert’s digital showroom and the associated outstanding product and communication design. “The digital communication of content to manufacturers is playing an increasingly key role for suppliers. We are very excited about this top-class award,” said Ronald Jesorsky, Global Head of Marketing & Communications. “The award is a great confirmation of the digital path we have chosen and of the innovative strength around the Kiekert brand. I thank my team for the great commitment that goes with it.”

The Automotive Brand Contest is the international design competition for automotive brands. With this competition the German Design Council awards participants for the holistic and consistent presentation of the brand across all media and products. The German Design Council is one of the world’s leading competence centers for communication and knowledge transfer in the areas of design, innovation and branding. Awards are given in 13 different categories and four special categories.
