With the invention of the central locking system, Kiekert provided a substantial contribution to the inreased comfort of the automobile. The times were over when passengers had to make the request to "Pull the Knob" to get access to the vehicle.

With the innovation of integrating the latch with a central locking system, central locking was made available to the masses.
