Kiekert wins the European Automotive Lean Production Award 2009
Kiekert will be awarded the most important European award in the automotive industry. In the category “International Medium-size Company” the Czech plant overcame all other competitors in Europe.
The Lean Award is organised by the German automotive magazine “AutomobilProduktion” in cooperation with the consulting firm Agamus-Consult. The awardceremony will be on November 18/19, 2009 during the international symposium“Automotive Lean Production”.

Kiekert participates successfully in the Auto Shanghai 2009
Kiekert focuses on China as the future market – Kiekert participated actively in the Auto Shanghai 2009 to emphasise its strategic focus on the Asian continent as its sales market.
The world market leader of locking systems displayed its innovations including some world premieres. At the Shanghai fair Kiekert presented to the general public two new technologies for the first time. The comprehensive product range as well as customised solutions for the Asian market attracted huge interest from the media and the industry experts alike.
Kiekert has demonstrated its confidence in the Asian markets in two steps. Firstly, Kiekert opened its first own factory in China. Secondly, Kiekert participated actively in the Shanghai fair. “Our strategy for the Sino-Asian markets by far exceeds a mere low-cost production facility. It is our intent to actively participate in developing the market and to benefit from its success”, says Dr. Karl Krause.
